Very funny and very moving, this film follows Larry and Sophie, two people with intellectual disabilities, who long to be together in a world that does everything to keep them apart. The trouble is their plan for a romantic tryst occurs during a field trip for a group of people with learning disabilities. Sanctuary won 2017 Irish Times Tickets Award (voted by the public) for Best Irish Film beating all the same films. (Ireland)
