Harold and Maude

A CULT CLASSIC COMEDY EVENING WITH FOOD AND TRIVIA: HAROLD AND MAUDE

With support from the Cambria Tourism Board and San Simeon Tourism Alliance.

Quirky. Dark. Hilarious. Romantic. There are so many ways you might describe this tale of a young man named Harold who falls in love with a 79-year-old called Maude. When it was released in 1971 not everyone saw the film’s charms, but today it is one of the most beloved comedies, ranking number 45 on the American Film Institute’s list of 100 Funniest Movies of all Time. If you’ve never seen it, now’s your chance. And if you have, why not renew an old love? Oh, did we also mention that AFI calls Harold and Maude the ninth best romantic comedy of all time? (United States)

And it’s more than a movie night. It’s also trivia, beer, wine and popcorn. Come early, order something tasty from a local food truck, grab a beer from 927 Brewery and join a table for team trivia. Prizes. You can also commemorate your evening in the Love Story Project’s Airstream Photo booth.

Running time: 91 minutes

Saturday, February 10, 5:30 to 8:30.
Food trucks and beer begin serving at 5:30, trivia contest begins at 6:15, movie screens at 7:00.
